Charitable giving by the Grosvenor Group is mainly channelled through the Westminster Foundation, established in 1974 as the Grosvenor family's charitable foundation. The Chairman of the Westminster Foundation is The Duke of Westminster. Donations are focused on three main programmes: Social Care & Education, Military Welfare and Environment & Conservation. In 2008, the Westminster Foundation donated £2.0m to a broad range of registered charities
