Trees were planted on our Eaton Estate as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy (QGC) initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

With a focus on planting sustainably, the QGC encouraged planting of trees to create a legacy in honour of the Queen’s leadership of the nation, to benefit future generations. 

The planting was adjacent to an area known as Jubilee Wood, a permissive access route and part of over 70km of footpaths across the estate, and which was originally planted for the Diamond Jubilee in 2012. 

The new trees will help capture carbon from the atmosphere, slow the flow of surface water, as well as enhance biodiversity.
