Join our graduate programme

Hello, we’re Grosvenor.

We think our UK property business (GPUK) is a really special place to work. So, before we talk graduate programme specifics, here’s a bit about who we are and what’s important to us.

2024 graduate programme

NOTE: Applications for our graduate programme starting in September 2024 will open in Autumn 2023, so please check back here nearer the time for further details on the recruitment process and how to apply.  In the meantime, you can find information on our graduate programme below.

We're about creating great places.

Our focus is on creating great places where communities, businesses and nature thrive. We’ve been developing and managing neighbourhoods for over 300 years, pioneering change and new ways of thinking about property. Our heartland is in London’s West End, and we also invest in neighbourhoods and buildings elsewhere in the UK.

We're part of something much bigger too. Grosvenor’s wider organisation spans urban property, food & AgTech, rural estate management and support for philanthropic initiatives. We’re united by a common goal: to deliver lasting commercial, social and environmental benefit.

We want you to bring everything you are to work.

We may have 340 years of history, but we’re firmly focused on the future.

From progressive environmental action to being at the forefront of community engagement, new ideas and fresh perspectives really matter to us. Did you know everyone at GPUK takes part in our innovation programme?

We welcome open minds and progressive ideas. Most of all, we we want our people to bring everything they are to work.

What it's like to work here.

Well, there’s plenty to talk about. It’s purposeful, whether that’s greening our places in clever ways or engaging meaningfully with local communities.

It’s sociable, in our buzzing café and at our many events. It’s ambitious, which you’ll see in our transformational development projects and investment pipeline. It’s challenging, varied and supportive.

We also enjoy a flexible work environment and, because it’s a family business, we like to think we’re a little less corporate too.

Meet our graduates

Alex

Development Manager, and keen photographer.

This is Alex. After initially starting his career in architecture, Alex joined our graduate scheme in 2019. His roles in our development, asset management and leasing teams provided a great early opportunity to meet people and experience different areas of the business.

The length of the scheme’s placements mean you get to know different parts of the business really well and get a lot of responsibility

Today, having successfully qualified as a Chartered Surveyor, Alex works as a Development Manager on one of GPUK’s most significant development projects: the transformation of an under-used area called the South Molton Triangle in London’s West End. Alex also loves photography and has discovered that Grosvenor’s heritage buildings provide a great backdrop to pursue his passion!

Amanda

Associate Director, Investment. Keen globetrotter and ballroom dancer.

This is Amanda. She joined our graduate programme having previously studied law. We’ve taken Amanda on a bit of an adventure – initially joining our Belgravia Team, to learn the nuts and bolts of the business, she then worked on projects with our development team, whilst studying to qualify as a Chartered Surveyor. Amanda even enjoyed a stint working on a project in Hong Kong which chimed with her love of travelling.

Since qualifying, Amanda has fully embraced the diversity of work on offer here. Initially as a key member of our Sustainability and Innovation team and, more recently, in our Residential Investment business. Oh, and she’s about to embark on a four-month sabbatical to travel the world too!

Applications for our 2024 intake will open in Autumn 2023.  Please check here a bit nearer the time for further details and information on application closing dates.

You’ll be participating in a strengths-based selection process.  We look for evidence of your potential, rather than your past achievements. The process will also give you an insight into our business, our values and the role of a Chartered Surveyor at Grosvenor. The selection process consists of four stages:

  • Application Form: Applications for our graduate programme starting in September 2024 will open in Autumn 2023.

  • Case study: Successful applicants will be invited to the next stage of the selection process, which is an online case study.  This is a timed, online exercise that takes about an hour to complete.

  • Telephone interview:  This is the final stage of the selection process before the assessment day and will be a 30-minute interview by telephone to allow us an opportunity to get to know you better.

  • Assessment Day: The final stage of the selection process will be an assessment day, which will take place in January 2024.  Please check nearer the time for confirmation of the date(s) of our assessment day(s).

You will be notified of the outcome of your application, whether successful or not, by the end of 2023 at the latest.

Reasonable adjustments: We want you to have every opportunity to show us your strengths. There are adjustments available for our process: please contact us at grosvenor.recruitment@grosvenor.com to discuss.
