Grosvenor Britain & Ireland Graduate Programme

Launch your career working for one of the largest privately-owned property Groups in the world – and become a fully-qualified Chartered Surveyor at the same time.

Join us at Grosvenor Britain and Ireland (GBI) and you’ll help create great places where communities, business and nature thrive.

What does the programme involve?

As a Chartered Surveyor at Grosvenor Britain and Ireland you will play a key role in creating and managing high quality neighbourhoods, which create lasting positive environmental and social impact.

We run a two-year Graduate Programme for those interested in starting a career as a Graduate Surveyor.  You will join the GBI business at our central London office, with a competitive starting compensation and benefits package

You’ll work on two 12-month placements within the GBI business, which will give you lots of hands-on experience in teams across our Locations, Investment and Development departments.  One placement might be in asset management – helping to drive the success of key parts of our estate, such as the West End of London. In another, you might get involved in exciting development projects in and around London, Oxford, Birmingham, Liverpool, or Cambridge, delivering sustainable new homes to help tackle the housing shortage.

Who can apply?

Graduates and undergraduates from all backgrounds, with degrees from any discipline. If you haven't studied a property related degree, we’ll give you the financial support and study leave you need to complete a part-time RICS accredited Masters (MSc) course.

How to apply

We are currently looking for two graduates to join Grosvenor Britain & Ireland in September 2022. Application is open to both graduates and undergraduates, but you must be available to join us in a full-time graduate role in September 2022.

To apply, complete our online application form here

The application form opens on Monday 13 September 2021 and the closing date for applications is midday on Wednesday 17 November 2021. We are unfortunately unable to consider any applications received after this date.

You will be notified of the outcome of your application, whether successful or not, by the end of 2021.  Please note that we will be holding just two Assessment Days, Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 January 2022.  Please check your availability for these dates before submitting an application.

The Graduate programme

What professional qualifications will I work towards?

Throughout the programme we’ll provide you with all the training, skills and experience you need to achieve the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyor's Assessment of Professional Competence (APC). All graduates are matched with a dedicated Trainer, Supervisor and RICS Counsellor.

If you haven't previously studied a property related degree, we will support you (financially and with study leave) through a part-time RICS accredited Masters (MSc) course.

What skills and expertise are you looking for in applicants?

People at Grosvenor represent a rich variety of backgrounds and experiences. When selecting new graduates, we aren’t just looking for people with strong academic credentials; we value many other qualities and strengths.

We are looking for people who are motivated by our collective purpose of improving properties and places in a way which is successful commercially and of lasting benefit to society.  We look for people who can help us deliver this in line with our values of integrity, respect and trust. If you’re good at building relationships with a variety of stakeholders and have the ability to think about things from different perspectives, we want to hear from you.

Our Graduate Programme is a steep learning curve. We expect you to be able to learn quickly, take ownership of projects and see them through to completion. You need to be a natural communicator, who can adapt to different situations and take on board the opinions of your colleagues when working collaboratively. The ability to analyse a range of data and information and be able to make sound recommendations is a must.

What happens at the end of the programme?

Once you have completed the Graduate Programme and achieved your APC, you will go on to gain experience working in different teams and potentially with the other regional Operating Companies within the Grosvenor Group, enabling you to take on more senior positions as your career develops.  Our graduates have gone on to work in a variety of different teams within the Grosvenor Estate.
