Grosvenor Britain & Ireland Sustainability Award

Terms and Conditions 

  1. These Terms and Conditions apply to the Grosvenor Sustainability Award (the “Award”) operated by Grosvenor Estate Management Limited of 70 Grosvenor Street, London W1K 3JP (“Grosvenor”). 


  1. The Award is free to enter and is open to: (i) retail, food & beverage or commercial business tenants of Grosvenor West End Properties, Grosvenor Properties or Grosvenor Estate Belgravia; or (ii) members of the co-working space operated at 25 Eccleston Place, London (collectively, “Entrants”). 

  1. Grosvenor employees or their family members or persons connected with the administration of the Award are not eligible to enter. 

Entry into the Award 

  1. To enter the Award, Entrants must submit an entry which complies with these Terms and Conditions. Entries should detail any initiative, large or small, that is helping to reduce their business’ [environmental] impact on the planet which has been developed and/or delivered between 1 January 2020 and 10 September 2021 - from a new recycling programme to tree-planting, staff training or sourcing your products more sustainably. Entrants can focus on a specific project or range of initiatives tackling an area of your environmental impact. Entries should try and include: 

  • What did the project(s) entail and how was it delivered? 

  • What environmental benefits resulted from the project(s) including key achievements? 

  • What lessons can other companies take from the project(s)? 

  • What challenges did the project(s) have to overcome? 

  • What are you planning to do in the future to maintain momentum and accelerate your sustainability ambitions? 

  1. Entries must not exceed 500-word limit and/or two-minute video.  

  1. Entries may include a supporting image or single A4 page which can be uploaded via the entry form here

  1. Entrants may submit more than one entry to highlight multiple initiatives that they have undertaken as a business. 

  1. The Award submission period runs from 1 July to 5pm on 10 September 2021. Entries received after the closing time and/or date will not be accepted. All entries must be uploaded via the form which can be found here

  1. The projects and/or achievements referenced in the submission and which will be the focus of the judges must have been developed and/or delivered between 1 January 2020 and the deadline for entries on 10 September 2021 but historic achievements may be referenced. 

  1. To help promote the Award we expect to publish descriptions of submissions. However, we will ask permission from the relevant Entrant before publishing their submission and Entrants may mark certain sensitive parts of their entry 'not for publication' such as exact budget figures/financial results etc.  

  1. Images and videos submitted in the entry may also be published with permission from the relevant Entrant. By making a submission you confirm that you have the copyright and/or any other necessary intellectual property rights or third-party consents for all aspects of your entry, including any images or videos. You agree to indemnify Grosvenor Estate Management Limited or any of its affiliates from any third-party claims of intellectual property infringement. 

  1. Entries may be withdrawn at any point up to 10 September 2021 upon written request. 

  1. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. 

  1. Grosvenor accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt by Grosvenor. 

  1. The Entrant is responsible for all costs associated with its submission. 

Selection of Award winners 

  1. Grosvenor will, in its sole descretion, appoint a judging panel to select the Award winner for each prize. 

  1. The judges' decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into before or after the judging, unfortunately it is not possible to provide feedback. 

  1. The Award will be presented in September 2021 on a date to be advised by us. By entering you agree to ensure a senior representative will be made available to accept the award on behalf of the Entrant.  


  1. The top 3 entries will receive the following Prizes: 

  1. First prize will receive 1 year’s supply of green energy up to the value of £10,000. The green energy must be used in connection with the Entrant’s premises in a Grosvenor building. If the Entrant does not currently procure green energy then the prize can be held for up to 6 months whilst the winner arranges for their energy to be changed. To claim the prize the Entrant must demonstrate to Grosvenor’s reasonable satisfaction that the energy they will procure is REGO certified and provide Grosvenor with energy bills (monthly or annual) to evidence their energy use for a period of a year starting up to 6 months after the prize is awarded. The exact method of reimbursing the annual supply of green energy will be decided in discussion with the prize winner. The first prize will also consist of digital advertising up to the value of £3,000. This spend must be directed in agreement with Grosvenor in to support of the winner’s brand in the context of Mayfair and/or Belgravia. Grosvenor will work with the winner to define the best channels to suit their business’ brand and customer audience. This element of the first prize is available for up to 6 months after the prize is awarded.

  1. Second prize winner will receive a dinner for 6 at a Grosvenor tenant in Mayfair or Belgravia up to the value of £1,000 . They will also receive digital advertising up to the value of £2,000. This spend must be directed in agreement with Grosvenor into support of the winner’s brand in the context of Mayfair and/or Belgravia. Grosvenor will work with the winner to define the best channels to suit their business’ brand and customer audience. Both elements of This the second prize isare available for up to 6 months after the prize is awarded. 

  2. Third prize winner will receive digital advertising up to the value of £2,000. This spend must be directed in agreement with Grosvenor into support of the winner’s brand in the context of Mayfair and/or Belgravia. Grosvenor will work with the winner to define the best channels to suit their business’ brand and customer audience. This prize is available for up to 6 months after the prize is awarded. 

  3. The Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and isare not redeemable for cash or other prizes. 

  4. Grosvenor accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with a Prize and not specifically included in a Prize. 

  5. Grosvenor shall not be responsible for any separate terms and conditions an Entrant or any of its affiliates are required to enter into in connection with a Prize. 

  6. Grosvenor retains the right to substitute any Prize with another prize of equivalent value.


  1. Grosvenor reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Award with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of Grosvenor in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. 

  2. Grosvenor shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, epidemics, pandemics, government intervention, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure. 

  3. Grosvenor accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Award or accepting a Prize. Grosvenor further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Award. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude the liability of Grosvenor for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence. 

  4. These Terms and Conditions are personal to you and the rights and obligations set out in these Terms and Conditions may only be exercised by you and you shall not assign, transfer, grant any security interest over or hold on trust any of your rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions or any interest in them. 

  5. The parties agree that no representations, warranties, undertakings or promises have been expressly or impliedly given in respect of the subject matter of these Terms and Conditions other than those which are expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions. 

  6. Neither party shall have any remedy in respect of any statement not set out in these Terms and Conditions upon which it relied in entering into these Terms and Conditions, unless the statement was made fraudulently. 

  7. The parties do not intend any third party to have the right to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise. 

  8. These Terms and Conditions and any additional terms expressly incorporated into these Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties, and replace all previous agreements and understandings between them, relating to its subject matter. 

  9. We may from time to time update these Terms and Conditions. It is your responsibility to check the latest version of these Terms and Conditions on the Grosvenor website here

  10. A failure or delay in exercising, or a single or partial exercise of, any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions or provided by law shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy, nor shall it prevent or restrict any further exercise of that or any other right or remedy.  A waiver of a breach of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of any other breach. 

  11. These Terms and Conditions and any non-contractual obligations arising in connection with them are governed by and construed in accordance with English law, and the English courts have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any dispute arising in connection with these Terms and Conditions, including disputes relating to any non-contractual obligations 

Award Privacy Notice 

Grosvenor is not requiring or expecting entries to the Award to contain personal data. To the extent personal data is included in an Award entry (such as details of an individual’s actions towards sustainability goals), we will process this data as necessary for the performance of the Award Terms and Conditions. Entries may be published by Grosvenor to promote the Award with the permission of the relevant tenant/member and you can let us know at that time if you wish us to exclude any personal data before publication. Personal data contained in the entries will be retained for the duration of the Award and for a reasonable period afterwards as necessary to demonstrate the Award was carried out properly (and meet our legal obligations).  

Grosvenor may collect and share names and/or photos of tenant or member’s representatives either in promotion of the Award or to comply with legal obligations. Grosvenor may also share such details with third parties to administer the Award; where we do so we will require such third parties to process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.  

Grosvenor may store personal data processed for the Award within its IT systems (which may be provided by third party services providers on Grosvenor’s behalf). Where such IT systems are located outside of the United Kingdom, Grosvenor has in place adequate safeguards as required by applicable data protection law.   

Where we are processing your personal data, you may have rights under the Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable data protection laws, for example to require us to provide a copy, correct or delete your personal information.
