Ben Sherman buttons up a flagship at Liverpool ONE as sales continue to grow

Grosvenor Europe has announced that Ben Sherman, the leading British clothing brand, is to open its first full price standalone store to open outside of London, in Liverpool ONE.

Grosvenor Europe (Grosvenor) has announced that Ben Sherman, the leading British clothing brand, is to open its first full price standalone store to open outside of London, in Liverpool ONE.  The news coincides with a 12% increase in sales year-to-date at Liverpool ONE, compared to the same period in 2016.

Launching in early April, the brand’s 1,755 sq ft store will be located on Manesty’s Lane.  Stocking the brand’s full range of clothing and accessories, Ben Sherman will join a mix of complementary luxury and heritage fashion brands in the area, including Flannels, Michael Kors, Beauty Bazaar Harvey Nichols, Dr Martens and Pretty Green.

Commenting on the news, Miles Dunnett from Grosvenor Europe, said: “The arrival of Ben Sherman, the first store of its kind to open outside of London’s West End, is another example of Liverpool ONE’s position as one of the leading retail and leisure destinations in the UK.  The strong British heritage of the Ben Sherman blends with Liverpool ONE’s other iconic retailers and is a great addition to the mix.”

David Basterfield, Retail Director at Ben Sherman said: “The choice of location for our first standalone store outside London was crucial for our expansion plans.  Liverpool ONE stood out as an opportunity: the brand complements our own, we are joining one of the strongest line-up of fashion and accessories retailers in the country, and Liverpool ONE continues to out-perform.”

In addition to the signing of Ben Sherman, Hollister has launched its latest store concept on Liverpool ONE’s South John Street.  JD Sports and Superdry are currently preparing to open new regional flagships in Liverpool ONE, whilst GUESS and Five Guys will make their debuts in time for the summer.

Metis Real Estate Advisors and Cushman & Wakefield acted for Liverpool ONE.  Ben Sherman dealt direct.
