Grosvenor Europe secures A+ in UN PRI reporting 2020
We have been ranked within the top 12% of signatories to the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) in 2020.
Our improved ranking reflects the significant increase in our activity dedicated to delivering social benefit.
- We scored an A (28/30 points) for our Strategy and Governance, improving last year's score by seven points and rising from a B grade.
- Our performance for the Direct Property module was outstanding, scoring an A+ (49/51 points), up from an A in 2019.
The improvements in our 2020 scores can be attributed to updating our sustainability strategy and agreeing our net zero carbon commitments, to achieve net zero across our directly managed portfolio by 2030, and net zero embodied and operation carbon across our direct and indirectly managed properties by 2050.
It also reflects the extensive sustainability training we have delivered to team members and specific asset level initiatives to improve sustainability performance, including being one of the first landlords to monitor the indoor air quality of a retail portfolio, exploring options to improve the ventilation and therefore health of our Swedish assets, and implementing a LED lighting retrofit programme at Liverpool ONE.
The UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) is the largest global reporting project on responsible investment, with around 3,000 signatories globally, covering $US100 trn AUM. Its goal is to understand the implications of sustainability for investors and support signatories to facilitate incorporating these issues into their investment decision-making and ownership practices. In implementing these principles, signatories contribute to the development of a more sustainable global financial system.
GEurope reports on its activities in Q1 each year.
