Sourcing new digital technologies

Our partnership with Plug and Play will connect us with tech start-ups to support our innovation strategy

Grosvenor Group Limited (‘Grosvenor Group’), the privately-owned international property group, has partnered with global innovation platform Plug and Play to help source digital technologies that will support its innovation strategy.

Plug and Play connects some of the world’s largest corporations with tech start-ups through industry-focused accelerator programs. As a partner, Grosvenor Group will help select start-ups in response to a specific business challenge and will have access to their technologies.

Ian Mair, Managing Director - Digital Innovation at Grosvenor Group, said:

“Digital developments have the potential to significantly impact the property sector and we are committed to investing in new technologies as part of our innovation strategy.

“We are looking forward to working with Plug and Play to help us source start-ups that can have a positive impact and help us further our purpose of improving properties and places to deliver lasting commercial and social benefit.”

Saeed Amidi, Founder and CEO at Plug and Play, said:

“We are extremely excited to have Grosvenor Group join the Plug and Play ecosystem. As a developer, manager, and investor of various property types all around the world, they bring a unique point-of-view to our program.

“Combining Grosvenor Group’s expertise in the real estate sector, our knowledge of innovation and technology, with great entrepreneurs from around the world – we will create great value for all stakeholders involved.”

Plug and Play launched its Real Estate & Construction vertical in 2018 and has run three batches to date. Through these batches the Real Estate & Construction program has accelerated more than 28 startups and has made around 10 investments in innovative technologies. In addition to Silicon Valley, Plug and Play has Real Estate & Construction/Smart Cities offices in Paris, Beijing, soon-to-be Bangkok, and Shenzhen.
