Supporting people and business in the West End of London
Grosvenor Britain & Ireland is working rapidly to support people and businesses in the West End of London affected by the Coronavirus.
We have already contacted all our retail and food and beverage tenants offering support to ease cashflow concerns and ensure that staff can be paid. This now includes waiving rent for the next quarter for the ones that are independent and most vulnerable.
Grosvenor Britain & Ireland has also donated to the London Community Foundation to support communities in the Capital most affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. The LCF specialises in supporting community-based organisations focused on helping the most disadvantaged in London. This money will support front line efforts to help the people most in need.
In addition, we have signed the London Funders Statement in support of civil society groups. The statement commits signatories to be as flexible as possible regarding how grantees use their donations during this time. This flexibility could include adapting activities and timelines for projects, financial flexibility and responding to community needs.
Finally, we would like to thank our staff for thousands of personal contributions– for helping self-isolating, elderly and vulnerable people and those in need – delivering many small acts of kindness that have become invaluable to us all.
