Liverpool, the fifth most visited city in the UK*, is an exciting and vibrant city in the northwest of England, well known for its strong links with art, music, sport and shopping. In 1999, Liverpool City Council selected us to define the master plan for Liverpool ONE.

One of the largest regeneration projects in the UK, our vision was to create a mixed-use development with retail, dining, leisure, public space, offices, and residential accommodation; a place that people could live, visit, play and work.

The ambition was not just to improve the current retail offering in Liverpool but to ensure that the city gained a new heart that would be a quantum leap in terms of its quality, scope, and wider appeal.

Launched in 2008, Liverpool ONE compromises over 170 stores, bars and restaurants, a 14-screen cinema, 500 apartments, three hotels, four office buildings and a Green Flag status five-acre park.

After more than a decade as a flourishing city centre destination, we use our farsighted approach to prepare for the challenges facing the retail industry. We continue to push ourselves to retain our position as a leader in retail; diversifying uses, refreshing the tenant mix and evolving our enlivenment programme to attract a wider variety of visitors. We also continue to deepen our knowledge of customers’ changing demands, we help our occupiers prepare to adapt to new trends, and we continue to invest in technology and our properties to make them more attractive in the long term.
