Grosvenor’s retail experience has matured in parallel with the evolution and the periodic reinvention of retail witnessed on our London estate over three centuries. It has also been forged through several retail investments and the development of more than 30 shopping centres, principally in North America and the UK, but also in Australia.
Our flagship retail and leisure development, Liverpool ONE, opened its doors in 2008, acting as one of the most successful catalysts to a city’s regeneration.
Retail makes up 38% of our international portfolio. We own properties in London, Liverpool, Stockholm, Tokyo, Vancouver, Washington, D.C. and San Francisco, spanning high street retail, shopping centres and retail units in mixed-use properties. The combination of locations and property types means that our retail tenants range from iconic and luxury brands, high street stalwarts to local independent brands.
We pay particular attention to attracting the right mix of tenants to our retail destinations, creating vibrant places that enhance visitors’ retail experience, with food and drink outlets, leisure facilities, and by creating more ‘third space’ for community and culture.
