Revitalising West Vancouver’s waterfront community

Grosvenor Ambleside has set a new standard for high-quality mixed-use developments in West Vancouver, and has revitalised a beloved but underused waterfront area of the city.

The first phase of Grosvenor Ambleside launched in October 2018, after 10 years of land assembly and a visionary transformation. As well as new homes, the development includes a public plaza with a vibrant streetscape filled with shops, restaurants, music and art. An iconic art installation by Douglas Coupland, OBC, which we gifted to the community is featured on site and we have commissioned three additional public art pieces by the artist, which will be installed upon completion.

Grosvenor is also supporting local arts and culture by way of sponsoring the local Kay Meek Community Centre. In addition to providing a donation to the Centre, the public plaza will be used by Kay Meek for live music performances throughout the year.

During the year, the first phase of Grosvenor Ambleside, our mixed-use West Vancouver development, was completed. The project has set a new standard for high-quality, mixed-use residential development in the region. Importantly, it has also helped to revitalise West Vancouver’s beloved waterfront neighbourhood. In 2018, three popular local restaurateurs and a high-quality grocer opened in the new development and all are performing well. Following last year’s unveiling of an iconic art installation by Douglas Coupland, OBC, which we gifted to the community, we have commissioned three additional public art pieces by the artist, which will be installed upon completion.
