An iconic residential development in the heart of London’s South Bank
NEO Bankside is an award-winning residential development designed by Rogers Stirk + Harbour. The project is a joint venture between Grosvenor and Native Land.
The development comprises 217 luxury apartments, 11,000 sq ft of retail space and 6,000 sq ft of office space. It has attracted purchasers and investors from over 24 nations.
Residents have access to a 24-hour concierge and security, a leisure club, storage, secure underground parking and business centre. The landscaping includes tranquil, tree-lined gardens, seasonal fruit trees, bee hives and a well-stocked herb garden with linear groves of aspen and birch to form public realm linking Bankside to Tate Modern during the daytime.
NEO Bankside completes the residential quarter of a wider regeneration initiative adjacent to the Tate Modern art gallery, enhancing the Southbank's positon as one of the most distinctive and diverse neighbourhoods in London.
Award winning design
NEO Bankside sits across five 'pavilions' ranging in height from five to 23 storeys. The development's distinctive external bracing removes the need for internal structural walls, creating highly flexible internal spaces. All apartments feature innovative winter gardens: internal glazed balconies that extend the living space and allow residents to take in the views all year round. External glass lifts provide access to the upper floor apartments and penthouses.
The development has won several awards including the Property Week RESI Awards Development of the Year (2012) and the Best Large Development and overall Grand Prix Award at the Evening Standard's New Homes Awards (2012). It was also a finalist in the international Best Tall Building awards by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.
