Daniel Cox Home People profiles Daniel Cox Managing Director and Chief Representative, Japan Daniel is responsible for all aspects of Grosvenor’s business in Japan, spanning investment, asset management, finance, business development and strategy, marketing, and control functions. Joining Grosvenor to head the Tokyo Office in 2017, Daniel has deep experience and a strong track record in Japan, having lived in Tokyo for more than 20 years. Before joining Grosvenor Daniel founded Tokyo based venture incubator Better World KK and prior to that was Head of Business Turnaround at Citigroup Principal Investment Japan and also CEO of portfolio company Niseko Village KK. Daniel is a member of the Executive Committee of ULI Japan and the volunteer Chair of Mirai no Mori, a Japanese charity that creates life-changing outdoor programs that are conducted in English for abused, neglected and orphaned youths in Japan. Daniel holds a BA from Hobart College in Geneva, New York and did a postgraduate study at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan. He is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School.
