Senior Vice President and Head of Structured Development Finance

I lead the Structured Development Finance business in North America, which provides equity-like capital for rental developments across the US and Canada.

Ashleigh joined Grosvenor in 2022 and leads the Structured Development Finance (SDF) Programme in North America. The SDF business serves as a capital provider to leading developers for the construction of rental and for-sale development projects across Northern and Southern California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Denver, Boston and Vancouver.

Ashleigh has over 27 years of experience in acquisitions, asset management, joint ventures, and fundraising across multiple asset types. Currently overseeing $1.1 billion in development value across active projects, Ashleigh has directly sourced and closed more than $8.3 billion in property acquisitions, development and core joint ventures, and fundraising.

Prior to rejoining Grosvenor, where earlier in his career he spent six years on the firm’s investment team, Ashleigh led MetLife Investment Management’s Northeast Acquisitions and Joint Ventures division.  

Ashleigh serves on the Urban Land Institute’s Office Development Council (ULI) and was a past Chairman on the Audit Committee for the Lafayette Federal Credit Union. A graduate of Georgetown University and the University of Maryland, he also founded the Godfrey and Glynis Simpson Scholarship Fund focused on college bound students residing in Arlington County, Virginia. Prior to entering the real estate industry, he served as a Marine Corporal for the US Marine Corps during a four-year active-duty assignment.
