Grosvenor Rural Estates is responsible for the long-term stewardship of three rural estates in the United Kingdom.

Working to protect, enhance, and restore sensitive environmental habitats within these unique locations and improving local property and places, our aim is to be a leading example of sustainability within the rural economy – contributing to the economic, social, and environmental wellbeing of the communities we are part of.

Improving understanding of our natural environment

For the first time across Grosvenor’s three UK rural estates, we’re capturing the most accurate information on record of their soils and all living things that will enable us to make more informed decisions that promote nature recovery and climate resilience.

Project Laxford

This 10-year study aims to better understand the River Laxford catchment and to restore the numbers of Atlantic salmon and sea trout – a barometer for the health of the whole ecosystem – by improving the quality and habitat of the river.

Reay Forest Estate awarded highest ever score in Europe for land management and conservation

Grosvenor’s Reay Forest Estate has been awarded the highest score of any organisation in Europe that is accredited by Wildlife Estates, a respected international body that recognises exemplary land management and conservation practices.
