Colin Shepherd

Colin Shepherd was appointed to the Grosvenor Property Americas Board in 2020. Mr. Shepherd also serves as a Senior Advisor to Hines where he worked since 1982 and was CEO of Investment Management from 2012 until his retirement in December 2018.

At Hines, Mr. Shepherd served as a member of the Executive, Global Investment and IT Steering Committees. He chaired the firm’s Investments and Performance Committee and lead the Investment Management and Research groups. He also served as Founding Chair of the firm-wide Diversity and Inclusion Committee and on several boards for public and private affiliated companies, including the Hines Global REIT boards, the Hines Core Fund and Hines Securities, Inc.  Previously, Mr. Shepherd was Senior Managing Director responsible for Hines' regional business in Southern California and the Pacific Northwest, directing the development, acquisitions and operations of more than 25 million square feet of commercial real estate. 

Mr. Shepherd has been an active member of several charitable organizations, educational institutions and boards of directors for over thirty years, including among others, Chrysalis - Changing Lives through Jobs, Loyola High School of Los Angeles and the Downtown Center Business Improvement District of Los Angeles.
