Chief Investment Officer, Grosvenor
Jonathon Bond is Grosvenor's Chief Investment Officer, responsible for the capital invested in Grosvenor’s commercial activities (urban property, financial investments and, in due course, food/agtech) and for its performance. He was appointed to this role in March 2021, the role becoming effective in May.
In addition to these responsibilities, Jonathon is a Non-Executive Director on the boards of Grosvenor Property UK, Grosvenor Property Americas, and Grosvenor Property Asia. He is also the Chairman of the Grosvenor Diversified Property Investments board.
He was appointed to the board of Grosvenor Property UK in September 2019 and was its Chairman from December 2019 to September 2021.
Jonathon was until recently the Senior Independent Director at fund management group Jupiter plc and a Non-Executive Director at Scottish Widows (Lloyds Bank Insurance) and at Standard Life Private Equity Trust plc.
Previously Jonathon spent over twenty-five years in the private equity industry in the UK, Europe and Asia, with a particular focus on raising standards of sustainability and on responsible investment. In 2019 he stepped down as executive chairman of a large family office, where his responsibilities included chairing the board of the environmental cleaning product specialists Ecover and Method.
He sits on the boards of several charitable trusts and foundations and holds an MA in Law from Oxford University.
