Magnus Goodlad

Magnus was appointed Grosvenor Trustee in 2024.  

He is currently a partner and Head of Transactions and Operations at Rede Partners the fundraising, capital solutions, and strategic advisory firm. In this role he advises clients on a wide range of GP-led secondary transactions and on creative re-investment and fund finance solutions including continuation vehicles, single asset transfers, strip sales, minority equity direct transactions, GP-led LP tender offers, NAV financing facilities and GP equity and debt financings.  

Before joining Rede, Magnus was Chief of Staff to Lord Rothschild between 2014 and 2019, responsible for the Rothschild family’s private equity and venture capital investment programmes and their philanthropic initiatives.  

He was previously a partner at Hermes GPE, a global private equity and infrastructure fund, and co-investment manager. He spent 10 years at Top Technology Ventures and IP Group Plc specialising in early-stage UK technology venture capital and intellectual property commercialisation investment where he held various roles, including Chief Operating Officer.  

Magnus began his career as a solicitor with Slaughter and May. He holds an MA in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford.
