I lead sustainability efforts in North America that align with and advance Grosvenor's global decarbonization goals.

Leveraging almost 25 years’ experience in real estate management and development, Tanja leads Grosvenor’s efforts in North America to achieve its World Green Building Council’s (WGBC) 2030 Net Zero Carbon Buildings commitment and Grosvenor’s global carbon ambition to reduce emissions in line with limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius. Additionally, Tanja runs the company’s Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) reporting in North America and is former chair of Grosvenor’s employee-led Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee. 

Tanja joined Grosvenor in 2013 and previously held the position of Director of Community and Customer Engagement, where she provided strategic direction and oversight for community engagement and award-winning customer service initiatives for developments across North America. She is a member of Urban Development Institute (UDI), Urban Land Institute (ULI), Canada Green Building Council, and US Green Building Council.  She is also a participant in ULI’s Greenprint Performance Committee and REALPAC’s ESG Committee and speaks at industry conferences and seminars on the topics of net zero buildings, energy efficiency, decarbonization strategies, sustainable design, emissions data management, tenant engagement, ESG reporting, and climate resiliency and risk. 

Tanja studied Urban Land Economics at the University of British Columbia, Dialogue and Civic Engagement at Simon Fraser University, and Business Sustainability Management at the Institute for Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge. She was recognized as a 2023 Woman of Influence 'Diversity Champion' by GlobeSt. and Urban Property Development Sustainability Champion of the Year (USA) in 2023 and 2024 by Build Magazine.
