Grosvenor Asia Pacific are pleased to share news that Golden Scene Cinema, the anchor tenant of 2CS (2 Catchick Street) in Kennedy Town, Hong Kong officially opened its doors in February 2021.

The cinema was opened by a local film distributor and production house as its first in Hong Kong, offering 4 houses with 283 seats, which will screen a wide range of movies including Hong Kong made productions, independent art films and international blockbusters. The introduction of the cinema to 2CS looks to address the priority needs of the Kennedy Town residents, identified through Grosvenor’s neighbourhood research in 2017. The study determined that a cinema was the community’s most desired amenity, following the closure of Kennedy Town’s local cinema over 25 years ago.

Golden Scene Cinema shares a similar commitment as Grosvenor to positively contribute to the well-being and quality of life for the communities in which we operate, and this played an important role in their decision to lease space at 2CS.
