Grosvenor Hart Homes, a social enterprise and registered provider of social housing on a mission to improve the life chances of vulnerable children, young people, and their families by pairing affordable housing and support services, has acquired 40 new homes in Ellesmere Port, expanding its provision of properties in the borough.

The 40 new family homes – comprising 19 three and 21 four bed properties – build on the refurbishment of 29 homes and a dedicated community facility in Chester that were completed earlier this year and continues Grosvenor Hart Homes’ pioneering public/private partnership with Cheshire West and Chester Council. 

Around half of the high-quality homes will be allocated to local vulnerable children, young people, and their families and, in line with Grosvenor Hart Homes’ unique model, will be available alongside support services tailored around individual needs and addressing employment and routes into employment, as well as mental health and wellbeing. 

The homes are well-appointed, spacious properties in a family friendly location with nearby public transport, healthcare provision and good schools as well as being close to other essential amenities, such as shops and fitness centres. 

Grosvenor Hart Homes, which was initiated by the Duke of Westminster, plans to make significant investments over the next 10 years to provide more than 750 homes alongside tailored intervention support, focusing on Chester and the north-west of England as well as central London, judging its success and charting its growth on the number of people and families for whom the organisation will help to achieve better outcomes.
