Grosvenor Sustainability Award 2022 opens for entries

  • New expanded categories offer financial credits to businesses
  • Retail, hospitality and office occupiers invited to showcase their approach to sustainability and community

The Grosvenor Sustainability Awards are now open for entries.

Established in 2021 to celebrate and reward environmental and social leadership across Grosvenor’s Mayfair and Belgravia portfolio, this scheme reflects the increasing opportunity for property owners and occupiers to partner to build a better, more sustainable future.

Following on from its highly successful launch, the awards this year will recognise a broader range of environmental and community initiatives being run by the c1,000 office, retail and hospitality occupiers in Grosvenor’s London portfolio.

Categories including Sustainability Leader, Circularity Champion, Community Contributor, Carbon Cutter and Supplier Collaborator will be judged by a high-profile judging panel comprising:

  • Tor Burrows, Executive Director, Sustainability and Innovation, Grosvenor
  • Juliane Cailouette-Noble, Managing Director, Sustainable Restaurant Association
  • Diana Verde Nieto, Co-founder and Co-CEO of Positive Luxury
  • Councillor Ryan Jude, Deputy Cabinet Member – Climate Action and Biodiversity, Westminster City Council

The overall Sustainability Leader will win a £5,000 credit to their Grosvenor account, while additional category winners will be awarded a £1,000 credit.

In 2020, jeweller Stephen Webster won the first Grosvenor Sustainability Award for their holistic and ambitious approach to environmental and social sustainability. Since then, the firm has attained a verified near term Science Based Target, the gold standard for validating carbon reduction pathways.

Tor Burrows, Executive Director, Sustainability and Innovation, Grosvenor said“Delivering on our environmental commitments relies heavily on partnerships with occupiers. The Grosvenor Sustainability Awards celebrate the huge strides made by office, retail and hospitality businesses to help make Mayfair and Belgravia London’s most sustainable neighbourhoods.

“Following the fantastic feedback and interest in the scheme in 2021, we have expanded our categories and prizes available to reflect both environmental and community initiatives and we are excited to see this year’s response.”

Awards close 28th Octoberwith winners announced in late November 2022.
