Pimlico Road Design District grows with launch of Newson’s Yard

  • As store openings from renowned names including Rose Uniacke, Ochre, Sinclair Till and BONADEA see Pimlico Road Design District fully let

London’s premier design district, Pimlico Road in Belgravia, will this month see the launch of the highly anticipated Newson’s Yard, along with a raft of new openings from some of the world’s leading names in craftmanship and interiors.

Completing in May 2022, this sensitive re-take of London’s oldest timber yard will soon provide seven new retail spaces alongside a restaurant in a dramatic double height courtyard, making space for a new wave of craftspeople and designers in this ever popular design hub.

The Pimlico Road Design District in Belgravia will also soon be home to a number of new cutting-edge stores and will be fully let at the launch of Newson’s Yard, confirming its place as London’s premier design destination.

BONADEA will open its first boutique in Summer 2021 at 20 Pimlico Road, the former home of Lord Snowdon’s iconic photo studio. Customers and interior design professionals will soon be able to discover and shop a curated selection of luxury tableware and accent pieces from some of the most highly regarded heritage brands and best contemporary designers.

Custom flooring specialist Sinclair Till will also open their third London showroom at 72 Pimlico Road this summer.

Rose Uniacke will expand her offering at number 103 – opening a store to house newly developed lines in paints and upholstery and Ochre are expanding their offering at number 22, both showing their recognition of the street as the best place to support business growth.

Bronnie Edwards, Grosvenor commented Pimlico Road has long been home to some of the most evocative names in design and interiors and we’re delighted to welcome BONADEA and Sinclair Till and support the expansion of Rose Uniacke and Ochre.

“By sensitively transforming Newson’s Yard, we have been able to develop the offering of the Pimlico Road Design District while keeping the intimacy and entrepreneurial feel world-renowned craftspeople and designers admire it for. We look forward to showcasing it to the market.”

Gemma Martinez de Ana, Creative Director and Founder, BONADEA added: Pimlico Road is a storied retail venue for the aesthetically-driven shopper and has long been a huge source of inspiration for me as a creative. Therefore, to open BONADEA’s first boutique here - and at such an iconic and historically rich address - is hugely exciting. We’ve worked alongside some of the best contractors and suppliers in the industry to create a shop that feels as though it has always been a part of the Pimlico Road narrative whilst elevating the every-day shopping experience and creating something that’s as beautiful as the product it houses.”
