Grosvenor Ambleside replaces a dated police station, a block of single-story retail, and a gas station with a 265,000 sf mixed-use project designed for the local community. Completing a project of this complexity and scale is a historic achievement in West Vancouver- a high barrier to entry market with a challenging entitlement environment.
Our local team led a comprehensive three-year community engagement process resulting in a shared vision for the site as a welcoming and vibrant place for people to live, eat, gather, enjoy art and culture. We assembled a local yet internationally recognized design team helmed by architect James KM Cheng, and artists Gordon Smith and Douglas Coupland.
Today, the site contains two terraced buildings with 98 new homes above 35,000 sf of specialty retail that serves hundreds of thousands of people annually.
