Eaton Square contains a mix of grand houses and apartments behind Grade II listed white stucco facades overlooking 2.5 hectares of private garden squares.
The Square is in fact an elongated oblong, arranged around six private gardens. The imposing but elegant buildings are terraced in a classical style with many pretty mews behind the houses.
Its location made it the perfect stopping off point on route to the Kings Road, then used as a private road by royalty headed for Kew or Hampton Court. This made Eaton Square the place to live if you wanted the ear of the monarch. The appeal of the Square to the influential and wealthy continues to this day with a series of blue plaques commemorating noteworthy residents from Vivian Leigh to Neville Chamberlain.
Originally built as townhouses, most of the properties were converted into lateral apartments in the 1950s. Properties on Eaton Square range from 60 sq m flats to 1,200 sq m houses available for rental and sale on long and short leases. We own nearly all the freeholds to the Square’s 380-plus apartments and directly manage the majority with constant reinvestment in both the buildings and the Square itself.
