Providing affordable homes

We are providing much-needed high-quality affordable homes for families with children and vulnerable young people requiring support in their transition to adulthood, helping to address local housing pressures. We have begun our activities in Chester, working closely with the local authority, with the ambition of scaling these across the north-west of England and central London.

Tailored support programmes

Our dedicated family support professionals work with families and young people - many of whom have experienced trauma - to foster relationships that are based on trust, choice, collaboration, and empowerment.

Simultaneously addressing three major foundational blocks that are essential to overcome disadvantage and build better futures, we build on the stability that a safe and secure home provides by enabling access to, and progress from, tailored support services, meticulously planned, prioritised and coordinated. They include:

  • Employment and routes into employment: We provide job brokerage, career mentoring and business start-up support.

  • Mental health and wellbeing: We coordinate and will, where needed, accelerate access to high-quality therapeutic services as well as directly provide a range of wellbeing activities.

A unique social enterprise model

We are a small, high-quality, specialist provider, developing a self-sustaining model founded on profit sufficiency - not profit maximisation, that is able to scale in size and impact. Through our plans, we are looking to make significant investments to provide more than 750 homes, alongside tailored support services, over the next 10 years.

Our success will be measured not just in the number of high-quality homes we provide but in the achievement of improved outcomes for the people we serve. And, in facilitating improved outcomes we expect to demonstrate clear savings to the public purse.

Building on a long history of social housing provision

Grosvenor has a long history of social housing provision both in London and Chester. Today there are over 700 affordable homes in Mayfair and Belgravia, most of which were provided through the actions of previous generations of the Grosvenor family.

Our new social enterprise takes inspiration for its name from Hart Street in Mayfair where some of the first social housing homes we created continue to be based.

Grosvenor Hart Homes aims to build on this legacy for a new generation.
