Grosvenor Britain & Ireland is bringing new al-fresco dining to the West End in time for re-opening. From 12 April, over 800 outdoor dining places will be in place in popular dining destinations and public spaces across Mayfair and Belgravia.
Following the success of last summer’s schemes, North Audley Street has been transformed into an outdoor ‘dining room’ experience. With environmentally friendly lighting and heating and widened pavements, the street is the perfect place to rediscover restaurants including ROKA and the famed Mayfair Chippy.
For those picking up a takeaway, Grosvenor Square will play host to seating for 150 people and picnic areas allow visitors a safe and inviting green space to enjoy their meals from 12 April.
In Motcomb Street, Belgravia the recently opened Pantechnicon will welcome guests to its Roof Garden, providing unprecedented views of London, while Grosvenor has invested in 150 new outdoor dining seats on the street and in the recently completed Halkin Arcade.
Visitors will also be welcomed by the outdoor gallery, Wander Art. Hosted by Grosvenor Britain & Ireland this bespoke walking trail is home to creations from some of the world’s most exciting artists including Ricardo Cavolo, Emily Forgot, Yinka Ilori, Fernando Laposse, Morag Myerscough and Richard Woods.
This will be supported by Grosvenor’s largest ever marketing campaign for its destinations supporting all tenants and the recovery of the West End.
Piers Townley, Interim London Estate Director, Grosvenor Britain & Ireland commented: “We’ve stood by our tenants every step of the way in the past year. For re-opening we wanted to welcome Spring and bring back the buzz that we’ve all been missing so much.
“So we’ve invested in new experiences for visitors and with over 800 outdoor dining spaces across Mayfair and Belgravia – there’s something for everyone to enjoy over the Easter break.
“We will continue to demonstrate our support for the retailers and restauranteurs that make Mayfair and Belgravia special and look forward to announcing new initiatives soon.”
