Wheatsheaf Group portfolio company Benson Hill, a food technology company unlocking the natural genetic diversity of plants with its cutting-edge food innovation engine, today (30 September) announced the completion of its previously announced business combination with Star Peak Corp II. 

The transaction sees the new company listed on the New York Stock Exchange as Benson Hill Inc (under the ticker symbols “BHIL” and “BHIL.WS) and generates approximately $320m in gross proceeds, providing more resources to accelerate Benson Hill’s plans to shape the future of food with more sustainable, nutritious and affordable food choices for consumers.
