Magnus Goodlad appointed Grosvenor Trustee

Grosvenor, an international organisation, whose activities span urban property, food and agtech, rural estate management, and support for philanthropic initiatives, has appointed Magnus Goodlad as a Trustee. Effective in January 2025, his appointment will bring a wealth of experience and expertise in finance, private equity and venture capital, technology, renewable energy, intellectual property, law, and philanthropy. 

Magnus is currently a partner at Rede Partners, a leading fundraising, capital solutions, and strategic advisory firm in private markets.   

Before joining Rede, Magnus was Chief of Staff to the late Lord Rothschild between 2014 and 2019. His responsibilities included management of the Rothschild Family Office, and private equity and venture capital investment programmes and numerous philanthropic initiatives.  

He was previously a partner at Hermes GPE, a global private equity and infrastructure fund, and co-investment manager. He spent 10 years at Top Technology Ventures and IP Group Plc specialising in early-stage UK technology venture capital and intellectual property commercialisation investment where he held various roles, including Chief Operating Officer. He began his career as a solicitor with Slaughter and May. Magnus holds an MA in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford.

The Grosvenor Trustees are responsible for the organisation’s long-term stewardship.  Preserving and enhancing its value and reputation, the Trustees are responsible for Grosvenor’s commercial and Family Office & Rural Estates activities, including matters relating to purpose, values, long-term strategy and, ultimately, success. They act as legal owners of a series of UK resident trusts, the beneficiaries of which are both current and future members of the Grosvenor family.
