Grosvenor announces that it has supported the expansion of a second hospitality operator through a loan from its Tenant Investment Fund.
atis, the healthy salad bar and bowl concept launched by husband and wife duo Eleanor Warder and Philip Honer, will open its second site at Eccleston Yards, Belgravia.
Having opened their first store in Shoreditch in late 2019, atis successfully adapted to the pandemic offering delivery services to local residents and businesses. From 7 June, atis will be open for grab-and-go as well as limited spaces for dining in; a takeaway service will be offered through Deliveroo.
atis partners with like-minded people and businesses that share their values. They have committed to Grosvenor’s green lease and work with other partners including Karma to help reduce food waste, First Mile to help with their zero-to-landfill mission and Impact Trading for fair-trade cotton uniforms.
James Raynor, CEO, Grosvenor Property UK commented: “atis is an exciting newcomer to the grab and go food market who has innovated to adapt throughout the last year. Supporting businesses with significant potential, a clear growth strategy and values is exactly why we established our Tenant Investment Fund. We look forward to continuing this partnership as they grow.”
Eleanor Warder, Co-Founder of atis, added: “We are so excited to be opening in Belgravia and feel very grateful for the support we have received from Grosvenor. We love the area and feel that it is a great home for the second site of atis. We are really looking forward to joining the thriving area and being part of the community.”
In 2020, Grosvenor, which partners with over 500 retailers and food and beverage operators in Mayfair and Belgravia, confirmed it would selectively invest in tenants with new business ideas and diversification strategies. This flexible and innovative financing model enables businesses to expand and create new jobs at a time when bank funding is constrained. In May 2021, GBI announced that it had provided a loan to support the opening of JKS Restaurants’ latest venture, Bibi, in the popular dining destination of North Audley Street, Mayfair.
Grosvenor approaches each investment opportunity on a case-by-case basis but has the ability to offer a range of partnerships from debt to equity and does not comment on the commercial details of investments.
Eccleston Yards is an award winning restoration of a derelict workers yard in Belgravia just minutes from Victoria train, tube and coach stations. Based around a tranquil courtyard in zone 1, it provides a hub for creative enterprises and 19 units dedicated to food, retail, co-working and wellbeing brands.
Some of Eccleston Yard’s best known occupiers include Hotpod Yoga, Re:Mind, Barry’s Bootcamp and Masterpeace, which recently won investment for growth through the popular BBC programme Dragon’s Den.
